Skydiving is an extreme sport for adrenaline junkies and part of the job description for Airborne military units. Whether you are throwing yourself out of a plane as a soldier or civilian the JM Calculator offers everything you will need to prepare for a HALO or HAHO jump. Use the JM calculator to check your calculations, plot your HARP, locate a DZ, find your altimeter and CYPRESS settings and autofill your HALO/HAHO computation sheet. This app is easy to use with its wind import feature that imports all relevant wind data for given Lat/Long or MGRS coordinates with the touch of a button. Jumpers will be alerted of any dogleg, incompatible, or erroneous winds as well as given a map with a plotted DIP and HARP. Once your data is collected you can then print or email a PDF version of the military computation sheet before a jump.

NEEDS WORK!
I just played around with this app after spending 15 dollars on it. I personally feel that this app should be reported as dangerous. Yes we are supposed to hand jam everything however people are people and I can tell you that this app...is going to get someone hurt. HAHO solution was really bad, not sure where the imported winds came from because I had Mark Schulze up on my other computer and the winds werent even close. No difference in symbology between the HARP and the DIP. Did leg was reported but not depicted. Just really bad...
Not there yet
Needs the ability to go back and make changes. After the information is input the only way to make changes is to start over. I like that it has all the resources included in one app. The calculator just needs some adjusting to make it useful. Needs ability to add and save drop zones to use in calcs.
Great Resource
Have used the HAHO and HALO calcs, both work great. The input from winds aloft have been accurate time and time again. (Only in continental US). Next version should be able to save DIP coordinates and label as drop zones. Thats my biggest issue with this app. The map output is great and much better than the old imagery on most dz surveys. Worth the money.
Way Better than doing it by hand
I havent jumped the calcs yet. We planned a 20k haho with a bundle ( weather call
Dont buy the app!!
The app has a nice layout. I would give it 5 stars if the calculations were correct. First of all, the calculations for HAHO are incorrect. Not by a little either. The average velocity of the winds is not taken into account in the formula. For some reason, the V for velocity always says 0. That makes a huge difference in the distance a standoff will be. For the price of the App, I would expect a fix and an update. As of now, I have not received a response when I suggested a fix to the app developers. Needs to be updated and this glitch needs to be fixed. Dont waste your money.
